Jersey Glass is now ‘VITRO’ Certified (Formerly PPG Glass)

Updated: Aug 19, 2018

Vitro Architectural Glass (formerly PPG Glass), North America’s largest glass producer, is exclusively dedicated to glass innovation and fueled by the same people, plants and products that made PPG Glass one of the industry’s most respected and reliable commercial glass manufacturers.

Vitro Architectural Glass currently operates five float lines and five glass coaters in the United States, including four MSVD coaters—the sixth U.S. coater (and fifth U.S. MSVD coater) commenced operations in early 2018 upon completion of a new jumbo MSVD glass coater in Wichita Falls, Texas. This milestone brings Vitro’s enterprise-wide total to seven glass coaters, including six in the U.S. and one non-MSVD coater in Mexico. Throughout the Western Hemisphere, Vitro operates 10 float lines enterprise-wide. Vitro’s seven U.S. float lines include five operated by Vitro Architectural Glass—three of which feature low-energy-consuming “oxy-fuel” glass-melting furnaces—and two operated by Pittsburgh Glass Works (PGW). Vitro also operates three float lines across its two plants in Mexico.

Jersey Glass, was the first glass processor in Qatar to receive the certification from ‘Vitro’ & it just goes to show the commitment, the team at Jersey Glass shows, to work with multiple global brands & be recognized in the market as a quality glass processor providing clients with a one stop solution for all their glass needs.
